I'm a dyslexic physicist and serial entrepreneur. I think about how the laws of nature lead to nonlinear insights and technology.
After a PhD in Applied Physics at Stanford on micron-scale quantum devices, I founded Solum — soil sensing and software for farmers. The hardware was sold to The Climate Corporation/Bayer; the software spun off as Granular and sold to Corteva for $300M. I've since built Ponder (voice for executive coaches) and Vnote.ai (an AI-powered voice app that asks questions). I'm currently at a stealth startup.
I write about neurodivergent thinking. I mostly think about manufacturing, robotics, physical AI, energy for data centers, and new forms of computing.
I live with two wonderful kids and my amazing entrepreneur wife in Palo Alto, California. I spend a few weeks each year living outside.
